Originally trading as "Maschinenfabrik Rockstroh & Schneider Nachfahren" (founded in Dresden- Löbtau in 1887 ), "Rockstroh-Werk AG" was founded on May 1st, 1900 with effect from June 1st, 1899. There were machine tools and printing machines; Platen presses, high-speed presses and embossing presses. The company name was "Maschinenfabrik Rockstroh & Schneider Nachf. AG" until June 22, 1919 and then "Rockstroh-Werke AG". In 1928, 1,200 people were employed.

In the 1930s, swing cylinder presses of the "Victoria-Front" series were built. In 1943 the Rockstroh family was the main shareholder. From 1947 the name was "VEB Polygraph Druckmaschinenwerk Victoria". The VICTORIA delivery program included platen printing presses (Merkur, Kobold, Kobold automats), Herkules embossing presses, punching presses, die embossing presses, autotype high-speed press, high-speed high-speed press, two-color offset presses, high-speed letterpress press, Kastor and Pollux automatic cylinder printing press, two-round high-speed press , Car crucibles, high-pressure sheet-fed rotary machine for straight printing, Heidenauer cylinder machine and stop cylinder machine.

Until the fall of the Berlin Wall , it will belong to the Planeta printing press plant in Radebeul. PLANETA, in turn, was taken over by Koenig and Bauer in the early 1990s .

In 1994 the company was re-established as VICTORIA Maschinenbaugesellschaft mbH in Coswig. In 2009 VICTORIA Druckmaschinenmontagen und Service GmbH had to file for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy proceedings were concluded on October 4, 2012.
