history

On March 5, 1984, the construction of the cross-country toboggan run began. After the construction of the toboggan run, it could not be used in bad weather. So in April 1987 a whole new one was built out of concrete. On November 10, 1989, the toboggan run at the Kupferhammer was inaugurated. The new track is 260 meters long, has a competition course of 200 meters and 6 curves, a 9.6% gradient and has a finish house with an electronic timing system. A training ground was built in the vicinity, which was further expanded over the next few years.
