Rodolfo Acosta (composer)

Rodolfo Acosta R. (born November 2, 1970 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian composer.

Life

Acosta studied music theory and composition at the Universidad de Los Andes until 1995 and continued his training at the Berklee College of Music , in Colombia, Uruguay, France, the Netherlands and Mexico with Klaus Huber , Brian Ferneyhough , Blás Emilo Atehortúa , Kaija Saariaho , Coriún Aharonián , Graciela Paraskevaídis , Roger Cochini and Víctor Rasgado continued.

In 1994 he received the solo prize of the Concurso Nacional de Composición en Música Electroacústica and in 1997 the Premio Nacional de Composición of the Colombian Ministry of Culture. He teaches at the Universidad Central , the Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá.
