Rodrigo Reichel

Rodrigo Reichel is a German violinist .

Reichel was a multiple winner of Jugend musiziert .

He studied at the Musikhochschule Köln and the Musikhochschule Munich . His teachers there were Max Rostal , Kurt Guntner and the members of the Amadeus Quartet .

His first orchestral engagement took him to the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra . He then moved to the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester on September 1, 1984 , where he held the position of coordinated section leader for the 2nd violins.

He has his roots in chamber music in both classical and jazz . In 1993 he was one of the founders of the ensemble “the g-strings”, which has performed at many renowned classical and jazz festivals. 

In 2000 he became first violinist , first violinist of faberge quintet, which was then still called himself Hamburger String Quintet. He received the ECHO Klassik 2014 for the "Chamber music recording of the year (music 19th century) / strings" with the fabergé quintet for the CD of the first recording of three string quintets by Adolphe Blanc .

His musical partners include José Carreras , Nils Landgren , René Flemming and Christoph Eschenbach .

He performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Ravinia Festival , among others .
