Rodrigo Rivera
Rodrigo Rivera Salazar (born April 20, 1963 in Pereira ) is a Colombian politician and diplomat . He is a member of the Liberal Party of Colombia .
Rivera sat in the Colombian Senate from 1998 to 2002 . He was unable to prevail against Horacio Serpa within the party in the primaries for the presidential elections in Colombia in 2006 . Under President Santos , he was named his country's defense minister in August 2010, but after just 13 months, Rivera resigned and became Colombia's ambassador to the European Union .
