Roelly Winklaar
Roelly Winklaar , full name Egberton Rulove "Roelly" Etienne-Winklaar (born June 22, 1977 in Curaçao ) is a curaçao - Dutch professional bodybuilder .
Career
Winklaar was born and raised in Curaçao. His father died in a motorcycle accident when he was four years old. When he was five years old, his mother moved the family to the Netherlands. He became a father for the first time at the age of 22. Today he is the father of three children.
He has always been interested in bodybuilding and participated in local amateur competitions where he got good placements. During that time he never thought of becoming a professional bodybuilder. In 2004 Winklaar had a serious car accident in which he almost died. This accident changed his mind. When he was released from the hospital, he decided to stop wasting his time and become a professional bodybuilder. At the age of 27, he started working on getting a Pro Card.
Over the next five years he trained and worked hard to build more muscle and sculpt his body. However, his progress limited his ignorance of exercise and nutrition. At this point, he was looking for a professional trainer who could take him to the next level. Eventually he found a former bodybuilder to train.
His first success in bodybuilding was overall victory at the 2009 NPC Arnold Amateur Championships, after which he received his Pro Card. He made his debut as an IFFB professional the following year at the Arnold Classics 2010. Here he reached seventh place. Also in 2010 he finished third at the Australia Pro Grand Prix and won the New York Pro.
In 2016 and 2017 he reached sixth place at the Mr. Olympia . In 2018 he reached 3rd place in 2017 he won the EVLs Prague Pro and in 2018 he won the Arnold Classic Australia.
