Roland Kohler

Roland Kohler (born August 16, 1953 in Burgberg ) is a German composer , music teacher , musician and conductor . He is the director of the Roland Kohler band and his New Bohemian Wind Music .

Life

Roland Kohler's musical career began at the age of seven on the clarinet . At the age of 13 he was already a member of the Heidenheim Symphony and Opera Orchestra as a clarinetist and soloist. During this time Kohler played brass music as well as Dixieland and dance music. This was followed by his music studies at the conservatory in Augsburg and at the music academy, with a state examination, in Stuttgart.

Roland Kohler is currently employed at the municipal music school in Aalen. During his studies he founded the New Bohemian Wind Music in 1980 , which soon became one of the most successful wind orchestras. His compositions were also decisive for this success. Many of his titles became brass music hits, for example the waltz Schöne Stunden , again and again brass music , with heart and swing , brass music at every hour and the like. v. a. m.

After more than 20 recordings together with the New Bohemian Wind Music, Roland Kohler recorded his first solo CD "Clarinette d 'Amour" in 2008.
