Roland Kubiak

Roland Kubiak (born March 28, 1956 ) is a German agroecologist . He teaches as an honorary professor at the University of Koblenz-Landau .

Life

Roland Kubiak studied agricultural sciences with a focus on plant production at the University of Bonn until 1982. At Forschungszentrum Jülich, he then received his doctorate with a thesis entitled "Comparative studies on the transferability of results from standardized laboratory tests and agro-ecosystem sections to the real field situation using the example of the degradation and relocation behavior of the herbicidal active ingredients metamitron and methabenzthiazuron in a parabrown earth ". Kubiak then continued to work in research with a focus on plant biochemistry. In 1999 he completed his habilitation at the University of Kaiserslautern in the field of ecological chemistry (habilitation thesis: "Practical studies on the behavior of pesticides in the environment").

Since 2005 he has been managing director of Rhineland-Palatinate AgroScience GmbH and director of the Institute for Agroecology in Neustadt, a private company owned by the state.

In 2009, Kubiak became an honorary professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
