Roland Schmid (politician)

Roland Schmid (born July 17, 1956 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Schmid obtained his secondary school leaving certificate in Stuttgart and then completed a business high school. He then studied law in Heidelberg and Tübingen. From 1987 to 1996 he was a consultant in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture and Sport . While he was a member of parliament he worked as a lawyer. After leaving the state parliament, he returned to the state service. Schmid is married and has three children. His wife Beate Bulle-Schmid has been a city councilor in Stuttgart since 2009.

1989 Schmid was in the council elected by Stuttgart, where he remained by 2009. In addition, he became chairman of the CDU in Bad Cannstatt and district chairman of the local political association in Stuttgart. From 1996 to 2001 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . There he represented constituency 4 Stuttgart IV.
