Roland von Berlin was the title of a weekly magazine for culture , politics , economics and life in Berlin that was published in Berlin .

The weekly magazine was founded in 1903 by the journalist and writer Leo Leipziger . It enjoyed great popularity until it was discontinued in the 1950s. The content dealt with the political and social life of the time. The current situation was critically questioned and many a scandal was uncovered. Frequent conflicts between the magazine and the censors at the time increased the awareness of the journal and the author.

The magazine was reissued from 1947, it was now published by Columbia-Verlagsgesellschaft mbH , Berlin W8, and cost 50 Pfennig .
