Rolba
The Rolba AG was a well known manufacturer of municipal vehicles in Wetzikon . The product range included snow blowers for rail and road, but also road sweepers , spreading machines and snow groomers .
history
The Rolba Aktiengesellschaft was founded on 20th October 1949 founded in Wetzikon. In addition to the plant there, she ran another one in Dietikon. In the 1970s, Rolba took over the assembly and sales of the Ratrac snow groomers. In the field of snow blowers, Rolba was one of the leading suppliers and built the world's largest blowers.
In 1990 Rolba took over Konrad Peter AG in Liestal and ran into financial difficulties. The estate moratorium came about. The operation was continued by the newly founded Rolba Kommunaltechnik AG , which, however, was merged with its parent company Bucher Guyer in 1994 . In the meantime, Rolba has been outsourced from the Bucher Group.
