Kurdistan TV ( Kurdish کوردستان تیڤی Kurdistan TV ) is a Kurdish television station based in the Kurdistan Autonomous Region in Iraq.

The first broadcast began in 1999 and Kurdistan TV was thus the first Kurdish broadcaster in Northern Iraq. The station is owned by Masud Barzani's Democratic Party of Kurdistan . The Turkish journalist İlnur Çevik of Turkish Daily News is said to have helped with the establishment, with the consent of the Turkish government, which wanted to break through the PKK propaganda from Medya-TV .

According to its own information, the station has offices in most cities in the Kurdistan Region, as well as correspondent offices in Iran, Turkey and some European countries. The general director of Kurdistan TV is Karwan Akrayi. Khalil Sinjari is European director of Kurdistan TV and managing director of KTV-Kurdistan TV GmbH in Bedburg-Hau . According to its own information, the station has a total of over 250 full-time employees.

The program contributions are mainly held in Kurdish , but Arabic and Turkish are also spoken on some programs. Kurdistan TV can be received via Eutelsat in Europe, West Asia and North Africa and via Telstar in North America.

The station also has a website, where news and comments are shown in Kurdish, English and Arabic.
