Rolf Müller (molecular biologist)

Rolf Müller (born August 13, 1953 ) is a German molecular biologist who specializes in research in the field of molecular tumor biology .

Live and act

For his discoveries on the regulation of gene expression through oncogenic signaling pathways and on cell cycle regulation , he was awarded the Leibniz Prize (1991) and the German Cancer Prize (2000). His scientific work has been published in more than 200 articles so far. Rolf Müller has been a professor at the Institute for Molecular Biology and Tumor Research (IMT) at the Philipps University of Marburg since 1987 .
