Rolf Palm (born September 9, 1914 in Heilbronn ; † December 19, 1996 ) was a textile retailer in Heilbronn. He was a member of various professional associations and from 1967 was Vice President of the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Commerce .

Career

Palm, managing partner of the textile trading company Eugen Palm GmbH & Co. KG in Heilbronn, was from 1948 to 1977 on the board of the professional organization of the textile retail trade in southwest Germany , from 1959 on the executive board. From 1949 to 1976 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Lehranstalt des Deutschen Textileinzelhandels in Hohenstein, later in Nagold, from 1951 to 1954 he was also chairman and until 1962 deputy chairman of the Heilbronn advertising association. From 1953 to 1962 Palm, who was the chairman of the FDP / DVP city ​​association Heilbronn, was a member of the municipal council of the city of Heilbronn. From 1954 he was a member of the supervisory board of the ARNO working and purchasing group of domestic and foreign textile shops and was chairman of it several times. From 1967 he was Vice President of the Heilbronn Chamber of Commerce. In 1976 he was awarded the BTE Golden Badge of Honor and in 1979 the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon . In 1983 he was also appointed Honorary President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and received the Golden Mint of the City of Heilbronn. In retirement from 1984 he was active in the Citizens' Committee for encounters with former Jewish fellow citizens and initiated the memorial at the Jewish cemetery . For the city of Heilbronn, he also revised its memorial book for the dead of World War II in 1994.
