Rolf Seel (born February 28, 1953 in Drove , Kreuzau ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from June 1, 1995 to May 31, 2017.

Life

After graduating from a university of applied sciences in 1970, Seel graduated from 1971 to May 1973 with a degree in administrative management (FH). Since August 1970 he was a civil servant of the higher non-technical service and from August 1983 until moving into the state parliament in 1995 he was responsible for sports as a sports advisor for the city of Düren . In 2019, Seel took over the chairmanship of the Eifelverein .

politics

Seel became a member of the CDU in January 1975 and was managing director of the CDU community association in Kreuzau from 1978 to 1984. From 1984 to 1999 he was deputy chairman and since 2000 he has been chairman of the CDU community association in Kreuzau. He has been a member of the district board since 1994 and treasurer of the Düren district association since 1999. From 1996 to 2003 he was the deputy district chairman of the Association for Local Political Affairs (KPV). From 1989 to 1991 he was deputy mayor of the Kreuzau community. He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since June 1, 1995, where he was chairman of the budget control committee from 1998 to 2010. He is also a full member of the sports committee. On May 9, 2010, Seel was re-elected to the 15th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia with 45.26% of the votes in the state constituency of Düren II - Euskirchen II . In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 on May 13, 2012, he was re-elected in his constituency with 38.83% of the vote. He was a member of the 16th state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .
