Wheelchair tennis at the Paralympics
Wheelchair tennis was first part of theprogramat the Paralympic Games in 1992 after it was held as a demonstration competition in 1988 . It has been an integral part of the Summer Paralympics since 1992.
Initially, a total of four competitions were held with one single and one double competition for men and women. From 2004 , the men’s single and double competition for quadriplegics was added.
