At the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona , medals were awarded in a total of four competitions in wheelchair tennis . The sport was part of the Paralympic program for the first time.
The two most successful athletes were Randy Snow in the men and Monique van den Bosch in the women: Both won gold medals in the individual and doubles.
