Romerof Island is a tussock- covered island in the archipelago of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located east of Brilliant Island and immediately south of Romerof Head . The island is one of the breeding areas of the giant petrel .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009 based on the name of the headland of the same name. Their namesake is not known.
