Ronald Lotz (born September 21, 1966 ) is a former German soccer player .

Life

Lotz played a second division appearance for FC St. Pauli in the 1986/87 season . In the game against the Stuttgarter Kickers he was substituted on in the 85th minute. Defender Lotz made 22 other appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga between the end of July 1989 and November 1990 in the colors of Eintracht Braunschweig .

After his time in Braunschweig he played at SV Lurup Hamburg in the upper and regional leagues. At SC Victoria Hamburg he was a player, later a coach and manager. In 2009 and 2010 he was also a sports advisor to another club, Altona 93 . Under Lotz as manager, Victoria made the leap into the Regionalliga Nord, previously the Hoheluft stadium was rebuilt to meet the demands of the new division. According to Hamburger Abendblatt under Lotz, SC Victoria became the "flagship club in Hamburg's amateur football". The sporting success in the regional league was largely due to the comparatively low economic resources. Nevertheless, Der Spiegel attributed Lotz in the summer of 2013 to having established SC Victoria "as number three after HSV and St. Pauli in Hamburg" and "built it into one of the most unpleasant cup opponents" "that German amateur football currently has to offer" . The team had defeated the second division Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the DFB Cup in August 2010 as a fifth division and stood up to other higher-class opponents. In spring 2014 he retired as a manager. In March 2018, Lotz was elected chairman of SC Victoria.
