The rontegari is a sword from Java .
description
The Rontegari has a curved, single-edged, heavy blade. The blade becomes narrower and then wider from the handle to the location . The back of the blade and the cutting edge are s-shaped. The back is graduated to about a quarter of the length of the blade in front of the site. The place is shaped like a pointed arch . The steel used for production is very similar to Damascus steel and is called "Pamor steel". This blade is processed in such a way that high-carbon and low-carbon steel alternate in a wedge shape. This creates the light-dark wedge pattern of the blade (see web link 1). The handle is made of wood or horn and is bent towards the cutting edge in the knob area. The pommel is rounded. The Rontegari is used by ethnic groups in Java.
