The Rookery Point ( English for breeding colony tip ) is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It marks the east side of the entrance to Rookery Bay .
The name of the headland appears for the first time on a map of the British Admiralty from 1930. The name was based on that of the bay of the same name.
