The Ropebrake Pass is a steep and narrow mountain pass in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains of the Transantarctic Mountains , it connects the Barrett and Gough glaciers between the southern end of the Gabbro Hills and Mount Llano .
The southern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1963-1964) named him so because a large number of his ascent rope brakes ( English rope brakes ) were required.
