The Rose Rock is a cliff in front of Cape Adare , the northern tip of the Adare Peninsula in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . Together with Gertrude Rock , who went under between 2003 and 2006, he belonged to the group of cliff rocks known as The Sisters .

The naming of this rock and Gertrude Rock was made by Victor Campbell , leader of the northern group on the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913), at the suggestion of George Murray Levick . It is named after two sisters of the same name from a song popular at the time.
