Rosemarie Schmitt

Rosemarie Schmitt (born August 10, 1960 in Trier ) is a German writer .

Life

Schmitt grew up in the Kylltal community of Kordel . After training as a music dealer, she lived in Luxembourg for a few years. The writer is now based in Wittlich and has three grown children. She is a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate literary work and freelance work in the culture department of the Trier local newspaper "Trierischer Volksfreund".

Works

In addition to publications for ZEIT-Online, columns, reviews and essays, her short stories have appeared in numerous anthologies and have received multiple awards. In 2015 her debut novel "Mr. Jonathan ... Mr. Jonathan (unintended knowledge of a former librarian)" was published.
