The Rosenalmbahn is a cable car in the Kitzbühel Alps , the valley of the Zillertal valley in the ski area Zillertal Arena goes up.
Technical specifications
When Rosenalmbahn is a gondola , eight persons can be transported with their cabins. The valley station of the cable car is in the municipality of Zell am Ziller at an altitude of 529 meters, its mountain station is in the area of the Rosenalm at an altitude of 1744 meters. The distance between the valley and mountain stations is 3655 meters, with the middle station of the cable car at an altitude of 1310 meters in between.
The Rosenalmbahn consists of two sections, known as the Rosenalmbahn I and Rosenalmbahn II . The first section ends at the middle station, where the gondola cabins are first decoupled and then slowly pass through this station to get on and off. The cabins are then coupled back to the same suspension cable and the ascent is continued on the second section towards the mountain station. The change of direction that takes place at the middle station is a special feature. Because while the cable car runs roughly in an east-west direction from the valley station to the middle station, the further path to the mountain station then bends towards east-northeast.
