The Rosenau Head is steep, ice-covered cliff at the Oates Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Bowers Mountains , it rises on the eastern flank of the Barber Glacier .

Charted it was in survey work of the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1970 by Darrell D. Rosenau by the US Navy, an electrician at the Amundsen-Scott -South Pole Station in 1965.
