Rosie and the Originals were an American doo wop band that had a # 5 hit with the song Angel Baby in 1960.
history
The group The Originals was looking for a new lead singer towards the end of 1960 and found Rosie Hamlin. Hamlin (July 21, 1945 - March 30, 2017) wrote the song Angel Baby and the group reached number 5 on the US charts. Later other musicians were involved in the project, so u. a. guitarists Noah Tafolla and David Ponce, bassist Tony Gomez, drummer Carl Von Goodat and saxophonist Alfred Barrett.
