Julia Edenhofer

Julia Edenhofer (born December 14, 1946 in Munich ; † December 29, 2018 there ) was a German book author and radio presenter at Bayerischer Rundfunk .

Life

After studying advertising science, Julia Edenhofer went to Bayerischer Rundfunk . In 1968 she was already involved as a spokesperson for the Club 16 program , a popular weekly radio show on Bayern 2 . From 1971 to 1992 she was the presenter of radio programs on Bayern 3 such as Frisch aus der Presse , Goldtimer , Meet the Beat and The Worlds Best Music . In 1976, she and Thomas Gottschalk performed the television program Szene '76 . In 1979 she became a permanent music editor at BR3, where she was responsible for programming programs such as Hitkiste , Morgentelegramm and Radiotime . She also presented the popular oldies show The Beat goes on alongside Georg Kostya in the 1980s.

Edenhofer wrote successful encyclopedias about oldies, rock and pop music, but also books about stars like Madonna , Sasha , Blümchen , George Clooney and Bruce Springsteen . She also worked regularly as a translator . Edenhofer died after a long illness on December 29, 2018 at the age of 72, her anonymous urn grave is located in the Nordfriedhof (Munich)
