description

The symmetrical structure is built in the neo-Gothic style and has elements of the castle architecture. The stables run along three sides of an imaginary octagon , with a blunt, four-story, crenellated tower in the middle of the axis. It is decorated with several blind pointed arched windows. The two towers at the corners take up the octagon motif with their floor plans and close with tent roofs . At both ends of the building, square towers with flat roofs complete the complex. The building is made of quarry stone and is largely plastered with Harl in the traditional way . The connecting two-story tracts end with gable roofs . Rosneath Home Farm has been listed on the Scottish Register of Listed Buildings at Risk since 1996. Due to the continued agricultural use and the cracks in the masonry, the overall condition of the facility is classified as poor, with the risk of deterioration in the building fabric being assessed as moderate.
