Red late harvest

Red late harvest is a red variety of sweet cherries belonging to the cartilage cherries . It is currently the latest ripening cherry variety in Germany.

origin

The variety was found by chance in a cottage garden in Schönau, Lower Bavaria, before 1950 .

fruit

The red fruit is very small and has a wild cherry aroma. It ripens in the 10th to 12th cherry week. Due to the late ripening, the variety remains maggot-free.

tree

The tree is very robust and healthy. It is frost hardy and therefore also suitable for high altitudes.
