The Roth group of companies is an internationally active Austrian family company organized as a private foundation .

After the Second World War, Hans Roth laid the foundation stone for several successful trading companies, starting from Gnas in Southeast Styria.

The family business comprises five different branches:

  • Roth hardware stores
  • Roth fashion houses
  • Disposal company Saubermacher
  • Interro (import-export trading company)
  • Martoni trading and transport company

Roth Heizöle was completely sold to the Hungarian MOL Group in 2009 .

The Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG , founded in 1979 under the name of Roth environmental protection, is primarily concerned with the collection, recycling and disposal of waste in Austria and eight Eastern European countries. The company serves around 1,600 municipalities and over 40,000 customers from trade, commerce and industry. In 2006 a turnover of 193 million euros was made with around 2,800 employees.

In 2005, the company Saubermacher AG received the state award and thus the right to use the federal coat of arms in business transactions.
