The Evangelische Sonntagsblatt from Bavaria (popularly also the Rothenburger Sonntagsblatt ) is a Christian Bavarian weekly newspaper founded in 1884 by JP Peter. The editorial office is in Rothenburg ob der Tauber , the editor-in-chief has been Pastor Martin Bek-Baier since 2011. The Sunday paper brings u. a. Articles on current topics from a church perspective, short devotions, church headlines, radio tips for the next week, birthdays, weddings and deaths from the readership as well as the children's supplement “Tim & Tina's Sunday papers”. In addition, the newspaper reports on the current Church Synod.

Current employees

The editor-in-chief Pastor Martin Bek-Baier is currently working with Susanne Borée for the Evangelisches Sonntagsblatt. Bek-Baier is also responsible for reports and the children's website “Tim and Tina's Sunday papers”; Inge Wollschläger reports from the parishes. Some freelancers also work for the paper. In the November 30, 2014 edition, there was an eight-page special supplement for the 130th anniversary of the Sunday paper. In it, the story of the Sunday paper by editor Christoph Schmerl is dealt with vividly. Inge Wollschläger enables a glimpse into the past with selected classified ads from 130 years.

The Sunday paper is carried out within Bavaria by volunteer residents for individual communities; outside of Bavaria the sheets are sent by post.
