In 1977/1978 the clinic was expanded by one wing and the number of beds rose to 240. In 1979 the internal nursing school was converted into a vocational school for nursing, with training in cooperation with the Lindau district hospital. In 1995 the physical department and the cafeteria were opened. The building was completely renovated between 2004 and 2008. In 2010 the hospital was renamed Rotkreuzklinik Lindenberg, in return the Dr.-Otto-Geßler-Platz in front of the clinic was inaugurated.
