The Rotsethorn tunnel is a single-tube road tunnel between Volda and Løviknes in the municipality of Volda in the province of Møre og Romsdal . The tunnel replaced an area of the Riksvei 651 that was particularly prone to avalanches in two sections . Originally, it led to Greifsneset and was 2176 m long (opening: June 19, 1999). On December 5, 2002, work began on the extension to Løviknes. The reopening took place on May 28, 2004. The tunnel portal at Greifsneset was preserved. The tunnel along Europastraße 39 is 3962 m long.
