Rotsler Memorial Fanzine Artist Award

The Rotsler Memorial Fanzine Artist Award is an American science fiction culture award that has been awarded to particularly deserving artists from the science fiction fandom for their life's work since 1998 . The award is presented annually at Westercon , the major annual West Coast Convention , by the Southern California Institute for Fan Interests (SCIFI) and is endowed with 300 dollars in prize money and a plaque. It is intended to honor the memory of the Californian artist William Rotsler , who died in 1997 and who willingly and free of charge produced hundreds of cartoons and illustrations for various fanzines .
