Snot? was founded in 1992 as a school band by seminar and cantonal students. Her style moves as a crossover between punk, rock, funk, hip-hop and jazz. The lyrics are usually very self-deprecating and comical discussions about youth issues such as identity, love, sex, inhibitions, outing, drugs, friends, everyday problems.

The band gave their first concert at the Kantifescht in 1992. This was followed by various concerts in and around Solothurn. Several times at the following venues such as the AEK Openair Luterbach, Openair Deitingen, Openair Etziken, Kofmehl Kulturfabrik, Creep-Club, Stadium FC Solothurn, Friedhofplatz, Altes Spital and was the winner of the "Junior Band Canton Solothurn 1994". With the production of their CD Shampoo-Planet in the summer of 1996, the band hoped to be able to play all over Switzerland. They had a record deal with the Zytglogge label "Killing Time", but in the fall of 1996 it went bankrupt. The indie distributor Phonag signed the band. After the release in February 1997, Rotz? Her CD throughout Switzerland, including guerrilla campaigns such as larger-than-life barbeque decorations and unplugged concerts in record stores.

In August 1997 the band broke up. The last concert was in the Albani Winterthur at the Winterthurer Musikfestwochen. Actually wanted snot? going back to the studio from mid-September 1997 to record a second CD, thus also delivering material for further concerts in Switzerland. Since the band was not up to the hype and the effort to play "away", they broke up. The band also lacked professional management.
