Routledge (publisher)

Routledge ( pronunciation : / ˈraʊtlɪdʒ / ) is a British publishing house primarily active in the humanities and social sciences. Its founding goes back to the publisher George Routledge (1812–1888). The year of foundation is 1851, when Routledge and a relative registered the company "George Routledge & Co." in the commercial register. Today Routledge is part of the Taylor & Francis Group based in London .

In the publisher appear u. a. the African Studies for African Studies , the Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy , the international journal Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television and under the label Europa Publications z. B. the Europa World Year Book and the International Who's Who .
