Taylor & Francis is a global British publishing group based in London with over 1,000 scientific journals and around 2,000 books annually. Offices are located in the United States , Singapore and Australia . Taylor & Francis now forms the “ academic arm” of Informa , with which it merged in 2004 .

The company was founded in 1852, when Richard Taylor (1781-1858) and his son William Francis (1817-1904) pooled their activities on the magazine market. A predecessor company was founded in 1798. In 2004 Taylor & Francis merged with the publishing house Informa to form T&F Informa. The new company was soon renamed Informa , Taylor & Francis remains as a science publisher within the Informa group.
