Roy Blankenburg (born October 1, 1986 ) is a German soccer player . He has been playing for VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal since summer 2015 .

Career

Blankenburg played in his youth for SSV Brand-Erbisdorf and FC Erzgebirge Aue . From 2005 to 2009 he was mainly used in the second team, but in the 2008/09 season he also played two third division games for the Auer's first team. In 2009 he moved to the Oberliga Nordost for Germania Halberstadt , where he scored eleven goals in 15 first round matches. Then Blankenburg moved to ZFC Meuselwitz for half a year in January 2010 , but returned to Halberstadt. In the summer of 2011, he moved to the Saxon state division VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal . After a year he went to the regional league for VfB Auerbach . For the 2014/15 season he moved to FSV Budissa Bautzen . In 2015 he returned to VfL Hohenstein-Ernstthal. In the 2017/18 season he was promoted to the top division with the team as Saxony champion.
