Roy Hay
Roy Ernest Hay (born August 12, 1961 in Southend , England) is a British musician and guitarist and keyboard player for Culture Club .
life and work
Hay was born in Southend in 1961, the son of a dock worker. After finishing school, he began training as a hairdresser in Stamford, Essex in 1980.
At that time he was a member of the band "Russian Bouquet", which he left after he came into contact with Boy George in 1981 . Together with Jon Moss and Mikey Craig they called themselves "Culture Club".
At Christmas 1982, Hay married Alison Green. The marriage was divorced in 2005. Hay and Green have a daughter.
In 1987 the band announced their breakup. He founded the short-lived pop duo This Way Up , which was unsuccessful. After this time, Roy Hay worked as a composer for film and television series such as the crime series Fitz again and again . From 1998 to 2002 there was a comeback by Culture Club and in 2014 a reunion with the old line-up.
