Royal Cliff Hotels Group
The Royal Cliff Hotels Group ( Thai : โรงแรม รอยัล ค ลิ ฟ บี ช รีสอร์ท ) is a luxurious five-star hotel in Pattaya , an internationally known seaside resort in the eastern part of central Thailand . It consists of four different hotels and the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall .

The Royal Cliff Hotels Group is located on a hilly headland between the two beaches of South Pattaya (Thai: หาด พัทยา ใต้ ) and Jomtien (Thai: หาด จอม เทียน ). It extends over an area of 26 hectares overlooking the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand .
history
In 1973 the Royal Cliff Beach Terrace opened with 106 rooms. A year later, the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel was added. Over the next 12 years the two hotels established themselves as Pattaya's premier accommodation. In 1986 the "Royal Wing Suites & Spa" was opened by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and developed into the resort's figurehead. It was not until 1992 that the resort was completed with the “Royal Cliff Grand Hotel” and it still exists in this form today.
A few years later, in 1999, the existing MICE facilities were expanded with the construction of the multifunctional event center - PEACH - with a capacity of up to 8,000 people.
The Royal Cliff Hotels Group has hosted several important conferences in the region and the ASEAN meetings have been held here for years. In addition, the Cambodian peace negotiations took place at the resort in 1991, the drafts for the new constitution of Thailand in 1997 and the APEC Tourism Working Group in 2003 , in which members of the tourism industry from 21 countries took part.
In April 2009, an ASEAN meeting had to be broken off and the representatives of the ASEAN countries had to be evacuated by helicopter after hundreds of protesters stormed the premises and the building. The protests took place on the last day of the “ASEAN + 3” meeting, which was organized by the Foreign Office in Thailand. The meeting came to an abrupt end, but in the previous two days the MPs had been able to conclude a large number of conferences. The delegates were escorted from the venue and the crowd of Protestants dispersed. There were no injuries.

The Royal Cliff Hotels Group consists of four five-star hotels and offers 1,090 rooms and suites. The resort also includes 11 restaurants, 11 bars, five swimming pools, two wellness centers, a Thai cooking school, a fitness center, seven floodlit tennis courts, two squash courts, a four-hole putting green, two private beaches, a renowned event center, three Ballrooms, 53 conference rooms and a private (bookable) catamaran.
In the past 30 years, various well-known celebrities , artists, athletes and heads of state have visited the hotel.
