history
Royce 'was founded in July 1983 in Hokkaido . The first chocolate production took place in November of the same year. However, it was not until the 1990s that Royce 'was able to prove itself as an established confectionery manufacturer on the Japanese market. Melted chocolate was first produced in 1989, before the company's first own chocolate shop opened in May 1993. More followed in the next few years, exclusively in Japan. In 2001, the company opened a business abroad for the first time with an offer in Singapore ; further branches in Asian countries followed. Today Royce 'stores can be found in 17 countries outside of Japan.
