Ruby Manila is a singer and actress with Asian roots who was active in the 1970s.
biography
1973 Manila published the Single Honolulu moon at M Music, a sub-label of Ariola . With her recording of the folk song There were two royal children , she appeared in the shows disco and ZDF hit parade in 1974 . After a label change to Crystal, the singles Ich mach 'last' night 'ne pillow fight (1976) and Fly Butterfly (1977) were released. Also in 1977 Manila played the role of Ima alongside Vadim Glowna in the western The Lost Inca Gold , which is based on a story from Jack London . In 1979 she competed with the title Shake Hands in the Swiss preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest and took 3rd place.
