from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Citizens' Movement Polska XXI is a Polish initiative led by Rafał Matyja, the former leader of the Platforma Obywatelska (PO) parliamentary group , Jan Rokita , the former minister of culture and Kazimierz M. Ujazdowski , who has resigned from Law and Justice (PiS), and Rafał Dutkiewicz, mayor of Wrocław . It was started on September 27, 2008 and is expressly not intended to be a party.

Nevertheless, they want to nominate candidates for the local and presidential elections in Poland in 2010 or to draw up their own lists of candidates. For this purpose, the Poland Plus (Polska +) party was founded on January 9, 2010 .

Polska XXI would like to establish a presidential system of government in which the president not only represents the country externally, but also leads the government through the prime minister. The founding declaration regrets the failure of the political debate that is currently being led by law and justice and the citizens' platform. The founders advocate further decentralization of the state, economic freedom of movement, Christian values and modern patriotism.
