Rudbert
Rudbert (also Robert, Rodbert, Rotbert, Ruodbert ) was bishop of Münster between 1042 and 1063. Nothing is known about his origin. A view held in older research that Rudbert was a "noble of Greven " (nobilis de Greven) has meanwhile been attributed to a faulty interpretation of the source and is no longer maintained. Rather, based on his name, Rudbert is now assigned to the Saxon noble families of Immedinger and Billunger .
