The Plovdiv rowing channel ( Bulgarian Гребна база Пловдив ) is an artificial lake in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv , which has been used as a regatta course for rowing since 1988 .
history
The Plovdiv rowing canal was opened in 1988. It is located parallel to the Mariza in a park southwest of the Plovdiv Stadium and is part of the Plovdiv Sports Complex .
Before the European Rowing Championships in 2011 , the facility was renovated.

The Plovdiv rowing channel consists of a basin 2200 m long and 120 m wide. In contrast to many other regatta courses, the facility does not have a separate training course.
Seven or eight lanes are available for competitions.
The main stand in the finish area in the northeast of the rowing channel has a capacity of 800 seats.
