The Rudkhān Fortress ( Persian قلعه رودخان Ghal'eh Rudkhān ) is a medieval fortification in Gilan Province in northern Iran . It is located 25 km southwest of the city of Foman .

The stone and brick fortress between two peaks of a mountain was built by the Ismailis during the rule of the Seljuks . It still has 42 intact towers, two gates and several buildings and stretches at a height of 670 m to 715 m over a distance of 1,550 m and extends over two elevations of a mountain ridge. It covers an area of ​​50,000 m².

Near the fortress is the Ghal'eh Rudkhan River , which flows north.
