Rudolf Bommer (politician)

Rudolf Bommer (born April 14, 1884 in Marburg an der Drau ; † January 15, 1953 in Braunau am Inn , Upper Austria) was an Austrian employee and politician .

Bommer learned the carpentry trade and worked in Switzerland for a long time. He took part in World War I, was wounded twice and received six war awards . After the death of his first wife, he came to Altheim and became a foreman in a furniture company. In 1934 he married again. Between 1934 and 1938 he was a member of the state parliament in the "trade" division, and from 1936 and 1938 he also held the position of head of the Chamber of Labor . After he found his job in Linz from 1938 to 1944, he went back to Altheim, where he was elected to the municipal council in 1945. He was also managing director of the Austrian Red Cross and the Black Cross .
