    The Upper Austrian Landtag is the regional parliament of the Austrian state of Upper Austria . He elects the members of the state government and exercises the legislative power of the state. The seat of the state parliament is the country house in Linz .

    The state parliament consists of 56 members . The legislative period is six years. An election was last held on September 27, 2015 ( state election in Upper Austria 2015 ). The federal state is divided into the constituencies of Linz and the surrounding area , Innviertel , Hausruckviertel , Traunviertel and Mühlviertel , which are made up of the 15 political districts and the three statutory cities .

    The direct predecessor of the Upper Austrian Landtag was the Provisional Provincial Assembly of Upper Austria immediately after the end of the First World War .
