Wolfgang Stanek

Wolfgang Stanek (born October 7, 1959 ) is an Austrian communication trainer, consultant and politician ( ÖVP ). He has been a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag since 1991 and has been President of the Landtag there since January 30, 2020 .

education and profession

After primary school, Wolfgang Stanek attended grammar school, which he graduated with the Matura. Stanek then completed training as a communication trainer at the Vienna Political Academy. He then worked in the office of the Upper Austrian provincial government as office manager and deputy office manager for the provincial governor's deputies Gerhard Possart and Karl-Albert Eckmayr . In addition, Stanek has been working as a freelance trainer, coach and consultant since 1984. Stanek has been chairman of the personnel advisory board at the Office of the Upper Austrian provincial government and managing partner of Stanek Personality Training OEG since 1997.

politics

Wolfgang Stanek was a member of Leonding's municipal council between 1985 and 1991 . In 1991 he moved into the Upper Austrian state parliament, to which he has been a member since then. Between 1997 and 2003 he was Deputy Mayor of the market town of Wilhering . He has been a member of the local council there since 2003.

In the state parliament session on January 30, 2020, he succeeded Viktor Sigl as state parliament president.

Private

Wolfgang Stanek is married and has one son.
